Arrival at Istanbul airport. Proceed to the hotel. Check in. Your first day in Istanbul will be light and relaxing, yet you will get highlights of the captivating history and culture of the city. Later in evening enjoy a short city tour of Istanbul. Visit places like the Taksim Square, Istiklal Street. Our guide will show you the most important places of the city. In the evening enjoy a Bosphorus dinner cruise with drinks and show. Overnight in Istanbul. | | Day 2 | Istanbul
After breakfast enjoy a full day Istanbul Classical City tour on PVT basis including the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, the St.Sophia Museum, the Topkapi Palace, the Grand Bazaar, the Sultan Ayyup, the Suleymaniye Mosque, the Spice Market, the Golden Horn View, Camlica Hill and many other places. The best place to start off after touch down is the Sultanahmet Square. Today the Sultanahmet Square is an historical area that is filled with various iconic attractions and within close walking distance to other major landmarks, such as the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. In the past the square was the Hippodrome of Constantinople, the social and sporting center of the Byzantine Empire. Next visit will be the Topkapi Palace. The Topkapı Palace Museum, the Turkish Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi, exhibits the imperial collections of the Ottoman Empire and maintains an extensive collection of books and manuscripts in its library. It is housed in a palace complex that served as the administrative centre and residence of the imperial Ottoman court from about 1478 to 1856. It opened as a museum in 1924, a year after the establishment of the Republic of Turkey.
Later visit the Grand Bazar and the Spice Market. The Grand Bazaar is the biggest of all bazaars in Istanbul. It is a covered market with 41 streets. It is the largest and the oldest covered market in the world. You can maybe skip the Spice Market but do not miss the Grand Bazaar, because it will offer you the most memorable sights. Later if time permits visit the Sulta Ayyup area. Lunch in between at a local restaurant. Visit Camlica Hill, one of the highest points of the Bosphorus, 267 metres above the sea level, set on the Anatolian Asian Side of Istanbul. The Hill borders the Uskudar district and it offers wonderful panoramic views over the city as well as the Marmara Sea and Bosphorus. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the Princess Islands and the snow-covered ridge of the Uludag Mountain. At sunset the domes and minarets of Istanbul's many mosques make a stunning silhouette against the colorful sky. Spring is perhaps the best time of the year to climb the hill when the wild flowers and tulips are blooming and birds are migrating. In the evening enjoy the Golden Horn view. This morning after breakfast enjoy a city tour of Istanbul with remaining part visit. Later lunch and drop to airport for flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival to Kayseri coach transfer to Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia. | | Day 4 | Cappadocia
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will explore Cappadocia, the breathtaking semi-arid region known best for its honeycombed hills. Cappadocia has a reputation as a fairytale destination, whimsical in nature and magnificent in beauty. We recommend you to make sure that your camera (or phone) is fully charged before arriving. Cappadocia is unreal – you will see caves, fairy chimneys, weird formations and giant mushrooms. The best part – you can stay in a cave too! Cappadocia is massive and has around 10 towns (or villages). Enjoy a hot-air balloon tour (by extra charge). Today you will visit places like the Kaymakli Underground city. Enjoy local lunch followed by the Goreme open air Museum, the Pigeon Valley, Uchisar, visit a jewellery factory and a ceramic factory. Today evening enjoy a Turkish night show with dinner. Overnight at the hotel. | | Day 5 | Cappadocia - Kayseri - Istanbul
Breakfast, check out and proceed to Kayseri airport to board early morning flight to Istanbul. Return flight home. |
