Arrival in Genoa, check in. Afterwards enjoy a walking tour around Genoa with a private guide: Porta dei Vacca, Caricamento, Palace of San Giorgio, Square Piazza Banchi, St. Peter's Church in Banchi, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, Doge's Palace, De Ferrari Square. City walking tour with private guide - You will visit some of the Palaces of the most important Genoese families, fashionable Palaces with magnificent interiors and Palace halls in Garibaldi and Balbi streets, built in the 16th century for the Genoese elite to testify the splendour of Genoa. In 2006 forty Palaces of Genoa had been included in the Golden Book of UNESCO's cultural heritage. Today in the Red and White Palaces there are art galleries. Tursi Palace is a municipality. In the Palaces of the Doria families, in Spinola, Pallavicino, Grimaldi, Lercari - the biggest banks are set. You will visit the oldest quarter of the city, from where Genoa originates, stroll along the charming streets that still keep the memory of their great, world-famous noble families and merchants. During the tour You will stop at a bakery and have a taste of the typical Ligurian bread "focaccia".
Lunch at your expense in a trattoria in the historic center of Genoa or in a restaurant with view on the ancient port.
Free time. After lunch, You can continue to visit the city by yourself, do some shopping, or, optionally, enter the Galata Museum - the largest maritime museum in the Mediterranean, or go on visiting the marvellous Palaces of Genoa: Palazzo Reale, belonging to the Durazzo family and becoming the royal residence in 1824; Palazzo del Principe - the richest and most luxurious Palace in the city, built by order of Andrea Doria, where You can see paintings by Perina del Vaga.
