Transfer to the hotel for check-in procedure. Dinner and overnight in Rome. | Day 2 | Rome Breakfast at the hotel. This day is dedicated to visit the most significant religious places in Rome. Start with a guided tour of the major churches of the city: see the Basilica of St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran, stop at the Holy Stairs (Scala Santa) and visit the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem. Lunch at restaurant. In the afternoon proceed to Coliseum, the main symbol of Rome, and entrance to the Mamertine Prison (or The Carcer Tullianum), which is the site where, according to tradition, the Apostles Peter and Paul lived their final days before martyrdom. End the tour with a stop at the famous Trevi Fountain. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
| Day 3 | Rome Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Vatican, the smallest sovereign state in the world ruled by the Pope. Within Vatican City you can see one of the world's most famous religious and cultural sites such as St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. After lunch, entrance to St. Callixtus or St. Sebastian Catacombs and visit the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, Rome’s largest basilica after St. Peter’s in Vatican erected where St. Paul was buried. If time permits, enjoy a last stop at Three Fountains Abbey, raised on the spot where St. Paul was beheaded by order of the Emperor Nero. Legend says that his head bounced on the ground in three different spots, from which fountains are said to have sprung up.
