9 days / 8 nights | Day 1 | Reykjavik Welcome to Iceland Capital Reykjavik. Upon arrival to Airport, Transfer to your hotel. Day free to explore city on your own. Overnight at the hotel. | Day 2 | Reykjavik Today Morning enjoy guided Reykjavik city tour. Visit all important places of capital city. We shall cover places like Old Town centre, Parliament, Cathedral, the harbor the Pearland Hofoi house, salmon river, folk museum, Laugardalur, Asmundur Sveinsson museum and Hallgrimskirkja Church. Later enjoy some free time in the city centre. In the evening we take you on an excursion to view the Northern Lights (Only for departures from SEP onwards). Iceland is renowned for its otherworldly illuminations, the Northern Lights being one remarkable example. Visit of northern light is not guaranteed but we will try our best. The days of the Northern Lights tour could also change based on the probability of viewing the lights). Overnight in Rejkavik. | Day 3 | Reykjavik – Vik Today morning we will proceed towards Vik which is south of Iceland, on the way we shall visit Eyjafjallajokull which is probably the most famous volcano in the world today which has erupted relatively frequently since the last glacial period, most recently in 2010. Next we visit the famous waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. Both places are famous amongst India as Bollywood move dilwale song gerua shot here. Seljalandsfoss cascades over steep cliffs, which makes it possible for people to walk behind the waterfall, offer a spectacular view of the waterfall itself and the surroundings. From here We continue our journey to Dyrhólaey Nature Reserve and Reynisfjara Beach. These popular attractions are a must see on your Iceland south coast adventure. Later we check in to the hotel. Overnight in Vik. | Day 4 | Vik Area Today morning after breakfast get ready to visit Lava field. Myrdalssandur and Eldhraun. Both places located in the south of Icelandic Highliands, it was created in one of the greatest eruptions in recorded history and is of the largest of its kind in the world. Next we visit Skaftafell national park. The rugged landscapes, mountains and glaciers, the flora and the fauna have a magnetic influence on the visitors. Later we drive to the southeast of Iceland, where you’ll find a glacier lagoon filled with large chunks of ice. This ice lagoon has become one of Iceland’s most popular attractions due to its immense beauty. The lagoon is called Jökulsárlón, or Glacier’s- River-Lagoon. After return back to Vik with stop at Fjadrargljufur canyon which is up to 100 m deep and about 2 kilometers long, with the Fjaðrá river flowing through it. Overnight in Vik. | Day 5 | Vik – Reykjavik After breakfast proceed back to Reykjavik. On the way visit full golden circle of Iceland, visit some of Iceland‘s most stunning sights. We visit the Geysir geothermal area is in South Iceland, near Laugarvatn Lake. The area is named after the biggest, and now mostly dormant, geyser and all geysers in the world owe their name to it. Also see the active Strokkur, which shoots up a column of water up to 30 metres (98 ft.) into the air every few minutes. Next we see the waterfall Gullfoss which is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland and rightly so. The three-step waterfall is a part of the glacial river Hvítá and falls into a 62-metre deep canyon. Later we proceed to the UNESCO world heritage site, Thingvellir National Park. is the site of the world’s first parliament and also the visible site of the mid-Atlantic Ridge where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Later visit Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation centre is one of Iceland’s biggest greenhouses. Return back to the hotel. Overnight in Rejkavik. | Day 6 | Reykjavik – Akureyri Today Morning after breakfast we proceed to north Iceland city Akureyari, Enroute we visit we visit the Hraunfossar waterfalls,which translates to “Lava waterfalls”, is a real treasure. It´s best described as a collection of countless creeks and cascades small and big streaming out of the lava over a distance of about 900 metres. We continue our journey to Akureyri. On arrival we proceed on a guided city tour of Akureyri, the capital of North Iceland. Akureyri´s name originates from a cornfield that was thought to have existed in a sheltered area within one of the gullies formed by streams flowing through the present location of the old part of the town. Overnight in Akureyri. | Day 7 | Akureyri Area After breakfast we proceed toward Lake Myvatn. On the way, we visit the Goðafoss falls. The name could be translated roughly as The Waterfall of The Gods. An impressive site any time of year, it’s a particularly otherworldly place to visit. We continue our journey to Lake Myvatn. From desolate craters to bubbling mud pools and geothermal caves, the area around Lake Mývatn is a microcosm of all the natural wonders that Iceland has to offer. With gnarled lava fields on the one side, and lush pastures on the other, it’s a beautiful area to spend time. Next we explore the volcanic area including Dimmuborgir, and Skutustadir, Namaskard pass. Later, enjoy a relaxing bath at Myvatn nature bath. Drawing on a centuries-old tradition, the tastefully designed complex offers bathers a completely natural experience that begins with a relaxing dip in clouds of steam rising up from a fissure deep in the earth’s surface, and ends with a luxurious swim in a pool of geothermal water drawn from depths of up to 2,500 metres. Overnight in Akureyri. | Day 8 | Akureyari – Reykjavik After breakfast we proceed towards Capital city. On arrival to Reykjavik day free on own to explore. Optional we suggest you to visit blue lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is one of the most famous sights in Iceland and its milky blue, 39°-42° C hot water is full of healthy minerals. If you wanna take a bath or just have a look at this unique natural phenomenon, a visit to the Blue Lagoon is always worth it. Overnight in Rejkavik. | Day 9 | Reykjavik After breakfast proceed to Airport for return flight.
