Known from the historical period of the Maritime Republics as “La Superba” (The Proud), or as "La Dominante dei mari" (The Dominant of the seas), Genoa is still able to surprise you today, thanks to its sharp contrasts, which are reflected in the magnificent architecture of its Palaces and churches and in the typical streets, the so-called "carruggi" - the characteristic narrow streets in the historic city center, the biggest in Europe. 
Day 1Visit Genoa: The Old Historical Center And Its Churches
Arrival in Genoa, private transfer to the hotel in the city centre. Check in. Afterwards enjoy a walking guided tour around Genoa: Porta dei Vacca, Caricamento, Palace of San Giorgio, Square Piazza Banchi, St. Peter's Church, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, Doge's Palace, De Ferrari Square. You will visit the main churches of Genoa, including the Church of Jesus - the church was built between 1589 and 1606 and it is one of the most important churches of Genoa, the upper part was completed in 1892 based on the original design of Rubens; The Cathedral of San Lorenzo - with the Chapel of John the Baptist, where the relics of the saint are stored and the Museum of the Treasury, rich in relics such as the Holy Grail (1st century), which Christ used on the Last Supper and the bowl upon which it falls the head of John the Baptist after its cross-section by order of King Herod; The Church of St. Luke, which was erected in 1189 and it is an example of architecture of the early Middle Ages. Day 2Discover Genoa: The Palaces
Breakfast at the hotel. City guided walking tour - you will visit some of the palaces of the most important Genoese families, fashionable palaces with magnificent interiors and palace halls in Garibaldi and Balbi Streets, built in the 16th century for the Genoese elite to testify the splendor of Genoa. In 2006, forty palaces of Genoa had been included in the Golden Book of UNESCO's cultural heritage. Today in the Red and White Palaces are located art galleries. Tursi Palace is a municipality. In the palaces of the Doria families, in Spinola, Pallavicino, Grimaldi, Lercari - the largest banks are set. You will visit the oldest quarter of the city, from where Genoa originates, stroll along the charming streets that still keep the memory of their great, world-famous noble families and merchants. During the tour you will stop in some historical shops of Genoa and have a taste of typical products.

Free time. After lunch, you can continue to visit the city, do some shopping, or, optionally, visiting the rest of the palaces of Genoa: Palazzo Reale, belonging to the Durazzo family and becoming the royal residence in 1824; Palazzo del Principe - the richest and most luxurious palace in the city, built by order of Andrea Doria, where you can see paintings by Perina del Vaga. Overnight.
Day 3 Explore Genoa And Surroundings
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time at the disposal. If you wish, you can order additional excursions in Genoa, visit the Aquarium, the Galata Museum - the largest maritime museum in the Mediterranean, the quarters of Nervi and Boccadasse, or you can take a trip to Portofino and visit the enchanting Ligurian Riviera, or take a chance to explore the 5 Terre. Overnight.
Day 4Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the railway station/ airport, or continue your holiday in the best Ligurian sea resorts.
