 | Description: Near Forio d’Ischia, perched at the top of the cliffs in the midst of a thick pine grove of seven hectares, close to the beautiful villa that belonged to Luchino Visconti, the famous movie director. The main body is an old tower dating back to the 16th century used by the local natives to defend themselves against the Saracens and later on belonged to Baron Fassini. The other buildings are scattered among the pines.
Rooms: The Hotel has 57 air-conditioned guest rooms, of which twenty are in the tower. Each room is well appointed and fully equipped with private bathroom, telephone, color TV, minibar and a safe. Twelve suites enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea, and four of them have their own private little garden and a Jacuzzi. The rooms are classified as follows depending on their location: Standard Rooms in the Park: provided with a balcony and surrounded by a lush park with pines and plants typical of the Mediterranean vegetation, are located in the "Visconti" building close to the former Visconti residence La Colombaia. Classic Rooms in the Park - located partly in the Visconti buildings and partly on the first floor of the Reception building. All with a balcony with a view of the sea or of the San Montano Bay. Superior Rooms in the Park: are located in the "Serra" and "Foresteria" buildings and have all a large balcony with a sea view. Deluxe Rooms in the Park: Located in the Foresteria building, have a large terrace with sea view and small Jacuzzi pool. Jr Suite in the Park: Located on the first floor of the Reception building, it has a bedroom, sitting corner, two windows with a sea view, and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi. Deluxe Open Plan Suite in the Park:These large suites are located in the "Foresteria" building and have a bedroom with a large living-room area, a private terrace/garden with a sea view and a small Jacuzzi pool. Bungalow Family Suite in the Park: Independent villa in the park with two bedrooms, 1 canopy bedroom and 1 twinbedroom for children, each with private shower and wc, large living room and wide loft available with two beds and possibility to add other two extra beds, minikitchen, plasma tv, DVD. Suitable for up to eight persons. Terrace and garden with seaview. Ideal for families. Classic Rooms in Tower: Located inside the old 16th century Tower with window and side sea view. Superior Rooms in Tower. With window and direct sea view. Due to the tower’s architecture, they are not very large but their colours and furniture make them extremely romantic. Jr. Suite in Tower with bedroom overlooking the hotel cove, bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and a small separate sitting room with a sofa-bed adjustable as a children bed. Classic Suite in Tower: Overlooking the hotel cove, they have a large bedroom, a separate sitting room with sofa-bed and a bathroom with Jacuzzi. Deluxe Suite in Tower: new suites with balcony with seaview, bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub and separate shower and sitting room with sofa-bed. Bellevue Suite in Tower: Brand new suite with large terrace with breathtaking seaview, bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub and separate shower and sitting room with sofa-bed. Deluxe Grand Suite in the Tower: Large suite with sea view (80sqm): 1 bedroom with living room, private bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub and separate special shower, large terrace (120sqm) with Jacuzzi pool and sea view. Equipment: complimentary shuttle bus from/to Lacco Ameno, two private bays, outdoor sea-water heated swimming pool, outdoor tennis court, fitness room, piano bar, porterage, parking and private helicopter pad. Swimming pool bar that turns into restaurant at lunchtime for light a-la-carte meals. Two restaurants available. Other services on request: windsurf, diving, motor boat tour of the island, excursions.
